Things could be bad for the fingernails of Bundesliga fans in May. The most exciting title race in years is not only underway, we are right in the middle of it!
Currently, four teams – FC Bayern, RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach – have a hand on the championship podium. Only four points separate the teams in the first to fourth places in the standings – something that has only happened once before since the introduction of the three-point rule at this time.
Thirteen games still lie ahead of the title contenders, and in the case of the foals, fourteen due to the postponement of the Rheinderby due to the storm “Sabine”.
The start of the second round
