Munich – Sebastian Rudy returned to TSG Hoffenheim this summer – after a difficult time at FC Schalke 04, the ex-Bavarian criticises the way they treated him.
Sebastian Rudy switched back to 1899 Hoffenheim on a loan basis this summer – after a disappointing season at FC Schalke 04.
Instead of taking a leading role with the squires as planned and giving the Schalke game further tactical flexibility, he, like the entire team, fell into a deep form crisis and was found to be partly to blame.
Now the 29-time national team player expressed his opinion of Schalke at his difficult time.
“I definitely felt as if I had been chosen as the face of the crisis in public. Even though I always look for the mistakes in myself first and have certainly made some: That’s when Schalke missed out on protecting me as a player,” Rudy said at t-online.de.
