Hamburg – St. Pauli player Leo Ostigard and BVB newcomer Erling Haaland still know each other from Norway. At SPORT1 the defender reveals what kind of guy Haaland is.
He was the transfer coup of the BVB: the Norwegian Erling Haaland.
The 19-year-old has been convincing from the very first game, thrilled with his three goals against Augsburg and is bursting with energy. He let deeds speak for themselves, but in his first interviews he remained rather taciturn.
Ostigard and Haaland meet at Molde FK
When Ostigard is 17 years old – and thus one year older – the two meet at the Norwegian club Molde FK.
“He came to Molde when I was already there. He was a big guy, but not the biggest of them all. And the first year he gained ten kilos. That was a shock for everyone”, Ostigard remembers Haaland’s “transformation” with a laugh.
