According to English media reports, the crash occurred near the Red Devils’ training ground. According to the media, Romero in his almost 200,000 Euro loyal Lamborghini went off the road on the Carrington Spur Road. How the accident could have happened was not known at first.
Pictures taken by passing passers-by show the noble car trapped under the crash barrier at the roadside. As the Daily Mirror writes, Manchester United confirmed that Romero was in the car at the time of the accident – but remained uninjured.
